Although this is my final project I do not feel like I am coming to the end of something, rather excited for the future and as if the culmination of the last three years is a springboard for my next chapter. Working with print and ceramics, I enjoy how the physical aspect of moulding clay is therapeutic just as the cutting of lino is too. Working also with myth and fairy-tale, so many of these stories on my vessels are about entrapment, my images depict the female form as free, producing the pots has been a liberating experience for me, going back to childhood, a carefree time, full of imagination, has helped the creative process and in turn the creative process has helped me escape my own feelings of entrapment. I hope to continue exploring, thinking about the torso as a vessel, the body as a vessel holding the individual within it.
